Susan Binder grew up on a Midwest farm where she learned to value the natural world, resourcefulness, function and utility. Her childhood play creating environments from mud and leaves, sticks and stones, boxes and blankets has proven to be a seminal experience in understanding design and materials.
As an adult she studied anthropology, art, and residential design earning a Masters of Science in Design and Human Environment from Oregon State University. Her studies combined the principles of design with the study of human behavior. Susan uses her design experiences, academic training, professional know-how, and interviews and observations to create well considered plans that will transform and personalize your home to fit your life.
